Complexity Map

For this project, I was assigned to visualize the complexity of an intermediate system with a wicked problem, or a societal issue with many causes and effects and not one clear-cut answer. I chose to research synthetic food dyes in the United States, as our country specifically has very little regulations on coloring compared to other countries. Many argue that the effects of these chemicals have not been studied extensively enough for the FDA to ban them, so I though it would be interesting to organize this information.
