Blackout

Blackout is a 2007 album by Britney Spears. This was the first album of Britney’s where she was credited as an executive producer. Blackout was released in the midst of Britney’s most iconic encounters with the paparazzi, including her infamous breakdown with a shaved head and an umbrella weapon. Britney chose the title because she wanted to blockout outside opinions of her and focus on letting her music speak for itself.

For this project, I redesigned the cover to be minimalistic on the outside, with nothing but the title and her signature, because Britney was so popular that you didn’t need her last name in order to know who she was. I added pops of glitter on the inside so when fans open up the vinyl, they will see Britney’s true personality shine through.
